We’ve got your next spot to hang: the newly opened The Deck Rooftop Bar. This intimate venue has all the bougie amenities but with chill, fun vibes and great pricing on food and cocktails. “(It’s) rooted in the basis of Ellis, which is it’s a great time at an affordable price where you don’t have to break the bank,” says Christopher Goss, director of food and beverage for Ellis Island Hotel & Casino.
The views are worth the visit alone—you can see from Mandalay Bay to Resorts World Las Vegas, and when the sun sets, the visuals are stunning. There’s also tons of open seating, sofas, tables and chairs, as well as bar seating, all options great for a romantic date night or a fun night out with a big group of friends. There are even a few cabanas (for rent) if you really want to up the ante—large, private spaces with open-air walls and ceiling, awesome views, TV, a dedicated server and lots of comfy seating.
Added to The Deck Rooftop Bar experience is a delicious lineup of specialty cocktails, handcrafted recipes with more than a dozen options. Enjoy tequila-based choices like the Dirty Snake Eyes margarita and the Strawberry Rose Ranch Water, vodka-based delights like All On Red, and bourbon-based favorites like Dr. Feelgood, Full Deck and Mr. Powell. All recipes are mixed with fresh juices, syrups, high-end liqueurs and aromatic bitters.
Along with sips are the savory bites. The sandwiches here cannot be passed up. The focaccia used is made in-house daily and is absolutely delish. Two of our faves include the Italian American Club with slow-roasted turkey, Vermont cheddar, apple-smoked bacon and avocado aioli and the Caprese Fresca with mozzarella, heirloom tomato, basil, arugula, pesto aioli and balsamic glaze. You can also dig into charcuterie boards, Italian-inspired tapas and snacks like truffle popcorn and cured beef jerky.
“If you want to feel like a local, come to Ellis Island,” Goss says. “When you walk in our door, you’re already a winner. You’ve already won with the prices of our food and beverage. We throw a party every single day. We have DJs on the weekends. It’s never rinse and repeat. There are always different food specials, drinks specials, activations.”
