Chef Dan Krohmer’s two Downtown Las Vegas restaurants—Hatsumi and La Monja Cantina—located at Fergusons Downtown, have temporarily closed. Both restaurants had been offering takeout only since June due to the pandemic. Hatsumi, a Japanese street-food concept that’s a late-night favorite among Downtown denizens, and La Monja, which featured Baja-inspired cuisine, anchored the culinary offerings at Fergusons, a converted motel that’s now home to retail shops and services.

"Together with Chef Dan Krohmer, we've decided to temporarily close the restaurants at Fergusons Downtown to evaluate how to restructure and move forward during these times," said Jen Taler, Fergusons Downtown co-founder and creative strategist. "Hatsumi and La Monja are flagships of Fergusons, and we can't wait to be able to bring them back, offering the experience the community has fallen in love with in a way that makes sense within current regulations and with our restaurant teams."

Krohmer was a finalist this year for a James Beard Foundation award.
